An alumnus of Purdue University’s Daniels School of Management, Akshay’s foundation in management, accounting, and finance has fueled a career that spans almost two decades of excellence.

Beginning his journey in the film industry, Akshay spent 12 years in production management, where his passion for storytelling and meticulous attention to detail led to the successful production of multiple film projects – documentaries being his passion. In 2020, he embraced a new challenge, joined his father’s entrepreneurial venture, Zicali, and applied his diverse skill set to drive the company forward.

At Zicali, Akshay’s expertise in strategic management, corporate finance, accounting, business development, and marketing is instrumental in shaping the company’s growth. His leadership style is rooted in leading by example, consistently putting forth maximum effort while wearing multiple hats – there is no role too big or too small. Akshay’s dedication to his team is unwavering, and he strives to inspire and encourage his employees by embodying the principle: “Effort always yields to positive value, even if the outcome of the effort is absolute failure of the desired result.”

Beyond his professional life, Akshay is a devoted family man, married with two daughters. His life philosophy extends to his personal interests, where he cherishes moments with his family, indulges in his love for movies and finds joy in riding motorcycles, playing golf, reading books and traveling the world.
